Meredith Melvin has held the position of 5th and 6th Grade Band Director at Bristol Bay Elementary School and Grande Reserve Elementary School since 2008. She currently holds her master's degree in Music Education from Illinois State University (2019) and Education Administration from Northern Illinois University (2013) in addition to her bachelor's degree in Music Education from Illinois State University (2007). Since 2003, she has served in the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest, located in Peoria, IL. With her Air Force Band, she has performed at 4 Gubernatorial Inaugurations, 7 Midwest Band Clinics, and 3 Illinois Music Educator's Association (IMEA). In her free time, Meredith Melvin enjoys attending musical theater, traveling, running, and cooking new delicious recipes. She is looking forward to another terrific year of band in Yorkville and helping her students develop a life-long love of music.

Mrs. Duy is native to Yorkville and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Morningside College. She has taught previously in Oxford Junction, IA and Earlville, IL. Mrs. Duy is also co-founder of the Yorkville Community Band which has performed during the Fourth of July celebrations for 25 years! She lives in Yorkville with her husband and daughter and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
